2024 Music Therapy Interns

We are thrilled to introduce our new cohort of music therapy interns, whose passion and dedication promise to bring a blend of healing and creativity to our community. These talented individuals come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique skills, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to enriching lives through the transformative power of music. As they embark on this journey with us, we look forward to witnessing the innovative ways they will engage, inspire, and support our patients and families, fostering wellness and connection through every note and melody. Join us in welcoming these future music therapy clinicians!

Michelle Pak - Music Therapy Intern

Michelle Pak earned her Bachelor's degree in Vocal Studies at Loyola Marymount University and is now pursuing a Master's in Music Therapy at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. She is originally from the South Bay Area and is thrilled to be living in the city and joining the Music Therapy team at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital for her internship!

Michelle’s primary instrument is voice, and she has enjoyed participating in choirs, musical theater, and opera. She has a love for many different kinds of music, but especially enjoys singing along to R&B, pop, alternative/indie, and showtunes. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, crocheting, exploring the city, attending live theater/music performances, and going out to karaoke with friends.

She can’t wait to share her passion and connect with the children and families at UCSF Benioff through music!

Alisha Singh - Music Therapy Intern

Alisha Singh completed her music therapy coursework at California State University, Northridge and is beyond excited to expand and apply her knowledge and skills as a music therapy intern at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Her primary instrument is voice, and she plays guitar, piano and other percussion instruments. She aspires to be a board certified music therapist after completing her internship and pursue a master’s degree in music therapy. Alisha wants to use her love for music to connect with and support as many patients and families as she can. She likes a variety of music but her all time favorite artists include Queen, Shawn Mendes, and Ed Sheeran. Some other things she enjoys are exploring new cities, going to concerts, trying new coffee shops, spending time with her family and cats, hiking, going to film/tv studios and talk shows, and watch Formula 1 racing.

Savannah King - Music Therapy Intern

Savannah King is finishing up her Bachelor's in Music Therapy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a Gulf Coast native and loves all things outdoors! She adores all animals, loves to read, and loves the beach. On any given day you'll catch her drinking a matcha and listening to Manchester Orchestra. Her primary instrument is voice, but she loves to play guitar and piano. Music has been a game changer in the trajectory of her life, and she hopes to become the best music therapist she can be through learning under the team at UCSF.
