New Music Therapy Intern- Riley!
Riley is currently completing her Master of Music in Music Therapy at Colorado State University. She spent the last two years in Fort Collins, CO studying music therapy from a neuroscience perspective and exploring the beautiful mountains of Colorado. She is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but has also lived in Hong Kong, London, China, the Philippines, and Boston. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Concentration in Vocal Performance from Boston University (go terriers!). After college, Riley worked as a music teacher, and she taught music in the US public schools and abroad. Riley is passionate about travelling, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures (especially through food!). She is a big fan of all things music and singing, especially musical theater, R&B, funk, and contemporary choral music. In her free time, Riley loves swimming, practicing yoga, enjoying a good cup of tea, and hiking with her dog, Cindy. Riley is excited to be back home in San Francisco and to be supporting the children and families here at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco.
