Songwriting With Isabel

Over the course of a lengthy hospital stay, Isabel found an outlet for self-expression and affirmation of her faith, which is the bedrock of her strength.

About the Song

MATT: Tell us about your song, My Faith Keeps Growing. What is the message?

ISABEL: I based it on my cancer journey and the things that I’ve gone through. Instead of my faith disappearing, it just grew.

MATT: What do you want people who hear this song to know?

ISABEL: That there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and to never give up no matter the pain.

MATT: Anything else you would like listeners to know?

ISABEL: Nope! The song says it all.

Lyrics

My Faith
I started to feel like a fish caught in a net
Trying not to pass out, struggling to catch my breath
All the feelings were overwhelming me
Fear and destruction, but there’s a God who sticks with you

My faith keeps growing
God sticks with you
Through the rough patches
His love everlasting
What more could you ask for
My faith keeps growing

I lost my strength, that’s why I have these scars
Blood drips down a tube and runs through me
I pushed myself despite the falls and pain
Because if I didn’t, I knew I’d fade away

My faith keeps growing
God sticks with you
Through the rough patches
His love everlasting
What more could you ask for
My strength keeps growing

I’m forever indebted to you indebted to you
Given me more than I could’ve asked for could’ve asked for
I thank you for another day
I thank you for another blessing

No te des por vencido
En las luchas y las pruebas
Dios sigue contigo
Dios sigue contigo

No te des por vencido
En las luchas y las pruebas
Dios sigue contigo
Dios sigue contigo

Mi fe sigue creciendo
Dios está contigo
En las luchas y las pruebas
Su amor es infinito
Que más puedas pedir
Mis fuerzas siguen creciendo

Mi fe sigue creciendo
Mi fe sigue creciendo
