Community Music Spotlight: Music Box Quartet

Not too long ago, a quartet of high school string players reached out to see if they could share their music with our patients. Hospital volunteers must be 18 or older, so we needed to find another way for them to share their wonderful music. They took it upon themselves to record this light and peppy cover of Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles, and we look forward to sharing it with our patients and their families!

About the Music Box Quartet:

Hello! We are the Music Box Quartet: Chloe Shin (viola), Jazlynn Chuo (cello), Sophia Fu (violin), and Charlize Arriola (violin.) Our quartet was formed in December, 2022 as a community service project, when we envisioned sharing our love of music performance with communities that may enjoy live music and who may be uplifted by it. We are high schoolers from the Bay Area, and are members of local orchestras and/or school ensembles. 

Whether they be well-known classical compositions or favorite contemporary songs, we hope to connect with others over shared love for music. 

Just as a music box is timeless, we hope our music can connect us!
