Getting to Know You…: Get to Know the Music Therapy Team!

March is Child Life Services month! Here at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco, the music therapy team falls under the Child Life Services umbrella. In honor of Child Life Services month, here are some fun facts to get to know our music therapy team a little better:

Matt

1.     As a child he was in a band called “Teknikal Dificulties [sic]”

2.     When he was a kid, he dreamed of becoming a famous basketball player

3.     Won’t touch rogue hair ties found in the office, especially if there’s hair on it

Jenny

1.     Studied abroad in Africa for a semester in college

2.     Was in a band in her childhood neighborhood called “The Backstreet Band,” to this day she still believes “The Backstreet Boys” stole her band name.

3. Not a fan of the texture of shaving cream

Brianna

1.     Has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do

2.     Went to a performing arts high school in Orange County

3.     Doesn’t like the feeling of sand
