September's New Movies

What do Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Simu Liu, and Awkwafina have in common? During September, they all partnered with the Disney Movie Moments program. The actors introduced their feature films to the families in the hospital. It is charming to see. Before this introduction, Disney displays a message on the screen. It says, "Welcome to Disney Movie Moments, your front-row seat to the best of our new releases. Part of Disney's commitment to providing comfort and inspiration to families around the world."

September was quite epic; look at all these newly released movies: Free Guy, Shang-Chi, and The Legend of the Ten Rings, and Jungle Cruz. But, Disney Movie Moments doesn't stop with new releases; the program also provides complimentary Disney+. This complimentary account allows staff to offer things like Billie Eilish Happier Than Ever, A Love Letter to Los Angeles. There are many teenage patients in the hospital; it is helpful to have something relevant for them. For example, a nurse mentioned that a teen patient was captivated when she was able to see the Shang-Chi movie. Shang-Chi was relevant to her in many ways. So, during the introduction, when Simu Liu and Awkwafina hoped that the film would bring joy, well, their hopes were realized.
